Today marks the end of the first full week of Lent, so I decided to make good on one of my Lenten resolutions by giving up my penchant for procrastination at least long enough to quickly write a new blog post.
I love Lent. It's sort of like a six-week boot camp for your soul. I've been hibernating pretty much all winter--there hasn't been much else to do around here!--so it's about time for a little discipline to get myself back in shape.
But it is a journey, a long one, and I'm sure I'll wander off the path now and then, but no one ever said it was going to be easy--and the thought of the rice and ricotta pies to come on Easter Sunday will no doubt sustain me!
Peace be the journey.
