Okay, so it's been a little over a month since I got this website up and running. It has turned out to be more fun than I thought. I get a kick out of tweaking it, writing this blog, I've even learned a little HTML.
Of course, now that I have a website everyone's saying I should be on Facebook or Twitter. Maybe later.
I've received some very nice e-mails from readers. It was such a pleasant surprise. If I'd known that this would happen, I would have started a website much much sooner. Please know that I read every message, and I appreciate all the words of encouragement. Mille grazie to you all!
People often ask if I'm working on something new, and the answer is yes. I started work on a new novel a short time ago. It's still very much in the early going, so I can't tell you too much at this point. Check back in future blog posts for updates on how it's going. Meantime I hope readers are enjoying Villa Mirabella.
Tomorrow is Father's Day, so I thought I'd pass along something my father used to always tell me. Whenever things didn't go my way and I was feeling a little glum about it, he'd tell me, "You're going to get knocked down a lot in life. The trick is to just keep getting back up on your feet as quick as you can. Otherwise you end up with footprints on your chest." He had a way with words.
That's all for now. Happy Father's Day, Dad. We miss you.
peace
